Poppies at the Railway Station
Janet Pagan has always enjoyed the visual arts though only recently has she had the time to follow what has since become a passion. She started painting with acrylics, appreciating their vibrancy and immediacy. Lately she has started on a fascinating journey in oil paint, focussing on the landscapes and people that capture her interest and imagination.
Poppies seem to be among the brightest flowers heralding spring. I spied a flower stall with buckets of them one day when visiting Sydney and couldn’t resist trying to capture their vibrant colours.
This oil painting is 40x50x3cm and weighs approximately 650gms. It is on a canvas stretch ready to hang. This painting can be collected in the Hobsons Bay area.
