Baptism
Baptism is offered for children and adults of all ages.
For children, you may choose up to three Godparents, and it is expected that these will be baptised adults (any denomination) who will have an ongoing role in the child's life. Baptism preparation sessions are held on the first Sunday of each month for those booked for baptism in that month, 12 noon. Baptisms are generally scheduled during the 10am Sunday service on the second week of the month (not during Lent). See below for available dates and times. When Baptisms are conducted there may be multiple families presenting their children for baptism. For bookings, contact our vicar Rev. Elizabeth Murray ([email protected] or 0419 106 457, noting Monday is her day off) and you will then be advised regarding the availability of dates and times in each month. Baptism information and preparation sessions are run at 12noon the first Sunday of each month. First Communion and Confirmation
Holy Communion is one of the sacraments of the Christian Church - a practice that remembers a special meal that Jesus shared with his friends and followers. If you wish your child to receive Holy Communion, please talk to the Vicar.
We offer simple preparation for children who wish to receive Holy Communion. Usually this happens when children are about seven years old, but it can be earlier. Small children are welcome at the altar to receive a blessing.
Confirmation is available for teenagers and adults who want to publicly 'confirm' their faith.
If you are considering this step in your faith journey, please contact our vicar Rev. Elizabeth Murray and she will be very happy to guide you through the process [email protected] or 0419 106 457 (please note her day off is Monday)
